Overview
North Park ("we," "us"), doing business as Flail Path, operates flailpath.com (the "Site"). This policy describes what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is a disclosure of our current practices, not legal advice.

Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Usage and device data through Google Analytics 4 (GA4), such as pages viewed, approximate location (city/region level), referral source, browser and device type, and timestamps.
- Event data we send to GA4, including outbound affiliate-click events that may include product slug, link URL, link text, whether the link was an affiliate link, and the page path where the click occurred.
- Communications you send us if you email hello@flailpath.com or another published address. We use that content to respond to you.
- Affiliate and partner cookies set or read when you click through to a merchant or affiliate network (see below).
We do not ask you to create an account on the Site. We do not intentionally collect government IDs, payment card numbers, or precise geolocation through the Site itself. Purchases happen on third-party merchant sites under their own policies.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve content, navigation, and performance. The Site loads Google's gtag.js scripts on page load. We do not currently show a cookie consent banner before analytics scripts run.
Google acts as a service provider that processes analytics data on our behalf. Google may also collect and process data under its own terms. Learn more:
Affiliate and advertising partners
Some links on the Site are affiliate links. If you click through and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate networks and merchants may set or read cookies and similar technologies to attribute that referral.
Woodmaxx product links may route through the Awin affiliate network. Other brand links may go directly to the merchant. Those third parties process data under their own privacy policies. See also our about page / affiliate disclosure and terms of use.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our partners may use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and affiliate attribution, including:
- Google Analytics cookies such as
_gaand_ga_<container-id>, used to distinguish visitors and sessions for GA4. - Affiliate / referral cookies set by networks such as Awin or by merchants after you click an outbound link.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may limit analytics accuracy and can affect how affiliate attribution works; core article content remains readable without cookies.
How we use information
- Operate, measure, and improve the Site and our content
- Understand which pages and affiliate links visitors use
- Respond to emails you send us
- Detect abuse, debug technical issues, and maintain security
- Comply with law and enforce our terms
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not use Site analytics to build an email marketing list. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
Sharing and processors
We share information with service providers that help us run the Site, including Google (Analytics) and affiliate networks/merchants when you click outbound links. Our hosting and deployment providers may process technical logs (for example IP address, user agent, and request path) as part of delivering the Site.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, in which case we will take reasonable steps to require the successor to honor this policy or provide notice of changes.
Retention
Google Analytics retention follows the settings on our GA4 property (commonly 2 or 14 months for event-level data; configure and review this in the GA4 Admin interface). Emails you send us are retained as long as needed to handle your request and for ordinary business recordkeeping. Affiliate networks retain attribution data under their own policies.
Your choices and opt-out
- Use browser controls to block or delete cookies.
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on where available.
- Review Google Ads / ad personalization settings if you use a Google account.
- Email hello@flailpath.com with privacy questions or requests about communications you sent us.
California and similar U.S. state privacy rights
If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a consumer privacy law, you may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete certain personal information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined by statute.
We do not sell personal information for money. Analytics and affiliate technologies may involve sharing of identifiers with Google and affiliate partners for measurement and commission attribution. To exercise available rights, contact hello@flailpath.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from another country, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection rules than your home country. We do not currently operate a consent-management platform or Google Consent Mode gate before loading GA4.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or tools change (for example, if we add a cookie banner or Consent Mode). The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we post revisions. Continued use of the Site after an update means you should review the new policy.
